Funding for projects will range from £50,000 to £500,000 with the focus being on families with children between 5 and 15 years old. The investment is intended for organisations who have experience of working with families but not just in a sporting sense, bodies such as charities and housing associations can also apply.
The main thrust of the 'Families Fund' is to encourage sporting or physical activity in all families in England but with a particular emphasis on those in deprived areas and on low incomes.
The first round of funds will open on the 19th May 2017 for which £10 million has been allocated.
