We worked alongside Hawthorn Heights to develop this scheme for Hillsborough Forest, Northern Ireland. The natural style of our equipment suited the landscape and surrounding area whilst also being capable of accommodating the subtle themes that the designers wanted to incorporate. The park is situated in an open area in the woodland location, with landscape features such as mounding and the pre-existing trees becoming key elements of the design.
The park was designed to pay homage to Harry “Fergie” Ferguson, an Irish born mechanic and inventor who is known for his role in the development of the modern tractor. The park includes a play feature styled on a tractor, with the number plate Fergie. Our close links with our supplier, Spielart, meant that we could communicate the designers wishes to incorporate this unique detail.
